The iSucceed Team: Who We Are

Our Certified Administrators

Katie

Kathleen McLane Allison, MS, Ed

Executive Director

Since 1998, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of students, subjects, and environments both in physical location and online! I started working for iSucceed when they first opened in 2008. Over the years, I’ve served many roles from Social Studies instructor, team/department head and student council mentor, to Operations and Program Coordinator, Head of School and Executive Director.  I am a firm believer and promoter of iSucceed’s mission and philosophy! The student and teachers are dedicated and the students inspire me with their determination.

As an administrator, I love making an impact on the school and enjoy the process of improving programs to best meet the needs of students and parents. It is so fulfilling to be part of a school that brings opportunity to students that was not available to them before this type of technology and structure. Every year during graduation time, it fills me with pride to see our graduates accomplish their final high school goals. In my spare time when I’m not immersed in the online world, I enjoy outdoor activities, exercise, music, reading, new technology, pop culture, learning, science fiction and art.

Clayton Trehal

Clayton Trehal, M, ED

Principal

I have been an educator for the last 15 years, 8 in the brick-and-mortar setting, and 7 in online education. Prior to becoming an administrator I taught social studies and English courses, and I’ve taught every grade level from 7th to 12th! I am passionate about all things history and for me, reading historical nonfiction is like reading novels. In my spare time, I mostly like spending time with my wife and 3 children doing things like camping, watching movies, mountain biking, playing board games, snowboarding, and traveling to new places that we’ve never seen before.

I love how online education gives unique students choices that fit their needs and schedules. I’ve taught students who interned in Russia with the Bolshoi Ballet or other international opportunities, students training for the Olympics or other competitive sports, working students, and students who just wanted to do something different than traditional school. I also love using technology to connect to students and to enhance instruction. The staff and school board at iSucceed are dedicated to providing a quality education to all students and I’m excited to be part of this team!

Tara Downs M, Ed.

Vice Principal - Middle School

In 2010, I entered the world of education. I started my career as a middle school elective teacher and department chair. I joined the iSucceed team in 2016 as a teacher in our Boise Study Lab. I have had the opportunity to teach a few elective courses, help develop our AVID program and move into an administrative position as vice principal. I love the flexible, personalized and supportive environment online school provides students with. iSucceed provides an opportunity for all students to acquire the skills they need for later stages in life while also offering a wide array of programs such as AVID, Advanced Diplomas and Dual Credit courses. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors including camping, hiking, and riding horses.

Holly Mortimer

Vice Principal - High School/Academy

I started in education in 1994,working for 13 years as a social studies and English teacher in brick and mortar schools. I am proud to have been on the iSucceed staff since its opening in 2008, and I have always valued the support and options that we provide to our diverse student body. I believe that our rigorous curriculum, dynamic and caring teachers, and amazing operations team create a truly high quality educational experience for our students, while allowing them the flexibility they need to make their education work for them.

As a member of the administrative team, I enjoy working on enhancing our program and solving problems! When I am not in front of my computer, I can be found outside, running, skiing, and gardening.
